Who do you think was a better actor among Kurosowas favourites?

Toshiro Mifune hands down.. Aside from him being my favorite actor of any of the greats, he was Kurosawa's favorite as well, and he was star in nearly every of Kurosawa's masterpieces (Seven Samurai, High and Low, Rasn, Throne of Blood, Stray Dog, The Lower Depths, Yojimbo, Sanjuro, The Bad Sleep Well, and numerous others). The only Kurosawa film I remember seeing Shimura as the leading role in was Ikiru.
