It seems to me you haven't met the nicest kind of people there. ism is not something that is strictly reserved to heteros. You'll probably meet other gay people in the future, people who are not holding that kind of grudge against women. I've met some people like these guys you are talking about in my life, but most gay people I have met were not like them.
